One of Southwest Florida’s most explosive playmakers is officially headed to the SEC.

Port Charlotte standout Elias Pearl announced his commitment to the University of Florida, giving the Gators one of the top rising wide receiver prospects in the country and continuing the wave of elite talent coming out of the 239.

Pearl has quickly become one of the most electric athletes in Florida high school football. During his breakout junior season at Port Charlotte, he recorded 69 receptions for 1,052 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns while also adding 11 rushing touchdowns and two kickoff return scores.

In total, Pearl accounted for more than 1,300 yards and 24 touchdowns from scrimmage, helping lead Port Charlotte to a deep playoff run and the Florida 4A state semifinals.

The 5-foot-11, 183-pound receiver has earned national attention for his speed, route running, and dangerous ability after the catch. Recruiting analysts have praised Pearl for his explosiveness in space, strong hands, and versatility to line up all over the field.

Pearl also impressed at the Rivals Camp in Miami, where he posted a verified 4.5-second 40-yard dash, a 10-foot broad jump, and a 32.4-inch vertical leap.

Programs from across the country pursued the Port Charlotte star, but Florida ultimately won out in the recruiting battle. For Pearl, the commitment represents another major step toward achieving a dream that has been built through years of hard work and dedication.

The Gators are landing more than just a talented receiver. They are getting a competitor who thrives in big moments and plays the game with confidence and energy every Friday night.

For Port Charlotte and the Southwest Florida football community, Pearl’s commitment is another reminder that the 239 continues to produce nationally recognized talent capable of competing on college football’s biggest stages.

As he prepares for his senior season, excitement around Pearl will only continue to grow. But if his career has shown anything so far, it’s that the spotlight is nothing new to him.

From Port Charlotte to The Swamp, Elias Pearl is officially headed to Florida.
