That dream officially came true for Logan Flaherty, as the standout quarterback announced his commitment to Florida State Seminoles, giving one of Southwest Florida’s brightest football stars the opportunity to play for one of college football’s most storied programs.
The Port Charlotte signal-caller made his announcement after drawing attention from major programs across the country, including Miami, Florida, Rutgers, South Carolina, Texas Tech, and others before ultimately choosing the Seminoles.
At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Flaherty has become one of the most productive dual-threat quarterbacks in the state of Florida. During his junior season at Port Charlotte High School, he threw for 2,636 yards and 27 touchdowns while adding 595 rushing yards and 11 more scores on the ground.
